The Team
The team comprises of a mix of full time Porters, full and part time Campus Services Assistants and part time Reception staff who work together to provide services across all university sites. This role would be predominantly based at the Kings Manor site but the postholder will work with the whole team.
The Role
The University is looking for someone to join our Campus and Residential Services team undertaking a variety Portering and Reception duties. The Porters team consists of 13 staff including both porters and campus services assistants
The role is full time (37 hours per week 8am-4pm) with some occasional weekend work required.
Work will generally be based on the Kings Manor site, but will also include working at the main University campus as required.
Duties will include room set ups, rubbish collection, deliveries of items both on and off campus; key issue; post and parcel management and providing cover on the main university reception if needed. The role does encompass a significant amount of manual handling.
Required skills and experience
Experience of working in customer facing environment
Knowledge of general health and safety requirements including manual handling
Good communication skills
Full driving licence
