About us
\The Headteacher and Governing Body of Ysgol Gymraeg Sant Curig wish to appoint a permanent Midday Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly school.

You will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunchtime period. This will include playground duties, as well as classroom supervision during wet playtimes and light cleaning duties in the dining hall.

Applications are welcomed from those who have previously worked in a school environment, as well as from those with no prior experience.

Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.

About the role
Pay Details: Grade 2 SPC 4 £25,949 Pro Rata £13.45 per hour.
Hours of Work / Weeks per year: 7.5 Hours per week. Monday to Friday, 11:45 to 13:30. 39 weeks per year

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The job description refers to the principal duties and responsibilities of the
Post. It does not necessarily list in detail all the tasks required to carry out
these duties and responsibilities.

• To encourage pupils to keep good standards of hygiene and to ensure
good table manners and behavior in the dining hall and during play.
• To help younger pupils at the server counter with the proper use of cutlery
and help cut up their food when necessary.
• To ensure that pupils remain within a safe environment and encourage
pupils to play together in a safe and sensible manner.
• To be able to attend to minor injuries, accidents and illness during the
midday break and seek appropriate assistance if necessary.
• To report immediately to the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher any
incidents or acts that constitute serious infringements of school rules such
as bad behavior.
• Ensure compliance with the Council’s Financial Regulations, Standing
Orders, Policies and Procedures.
• To implement the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy
whilst carrying out the above duties.
• To adhere to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and
procedures. To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself
and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts /
omissions. In addition, you will undertake any duties with regards to fire
safety evacuation commensurate with your role.
• To implement the principles of the Council's Environment Policy while
carrying out the above duties.
• To report without delay any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate
safeguarding officer.
• Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in
accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be
required by the Chief Officer from time to time.
