Summary

Education / Qualifications Professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing Registered with NMC Evidence of qualification and experience to post graduate diploma level Practice Assessor/Supervisor training or willingness to undertake Psychosocial Interventions qualification Non-medical prescribing Application Form Certificate(s) Interview Experience Experience working with adults with severe and enduring mental illness Experience of working with service users with behaviours that challenge and/or substance use Experience of providing support to vulnerable /socially excluded individuals/groups. Experience managing a defined caseload Experience in community mental health, rehabilitation services, or home-based treatment Experience conducting clinical risk assessments and developing risk management plans Involvement in service development, audits, or quality improvement Leadership experience Application Form Interview Experience supervising junior staff or students Experience working within multidisciplinary teams Knowledge Knowledge of long-term mental health conditions and rehabilitation approaches Awareness of national and local policies related to community mental health Understanding of recovery-focused practice and strengths based principles. Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management frameworks Knowledge of least restrictive practice and how to apply. Understanding of trauma informed and gender informed practice. Ability to de-escalate conflict and respond to distressed or agitated service users Ability to guide junior staff to meet goal orientated care plans.
