Energy Officer
Location: Northampton (Hybrid – office & home working)
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Energy Officer to support a local authority environment in Northampton.
This is a varied role focused on energy management, sustainability initiatives, and supporting the efficient use of energy across a property portfolio.
Working Pattern
Based across Northampton sites (including main offices)
Up to 3 days working from home (depending on meetings and business needs)
Key Responsibilities
Supporting energy management and efficiency projects
Monitoring and analysing energy usage data
Assisting with carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives
Liaising with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
Supporting compliance with environmental and energy regulations
Producing reports and maintaining accurate records
Requirements
Experience in energy management, sustainability, or a related field
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage workload and work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
Compliance Requirements
Right to Work in the UK
