Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Telford to assist with the appointment of a Catering Assistant, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.45 - £17.42 per hour
Summary:
The Catering Assistant will support the day-to-day catering operations within a busy residential outdoor education centre. The role involves assisting with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations while creating a positive dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation and service of meals within the catering unit.
Support kitchen and dining room operations, including cleaning, washing up, and maintaining hygiene standards.
Set up and clear dining areas, including tables and service equipment.
Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
Safely store food items and carry out temperature checks and record keeping.
Encourage healthy eating and support guests in trying new foods.
Essentials:
Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Good time management skills.
Flexible to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment.

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an Enhanced DBS
