Summary
We are working closely with Southern Housing to assist with the appointment of a Ground Maintenance Operative, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.71 - £16.43 per hour
Summary:
The Ground Maintenance Operative will be responsible for delivering a wide range of grounds maintenance and landscaping services across communal areas. This role involves maintaining lawns, planting, and ensuring outdoor spaces are safe, clean, and visually appealing, while also engaging with residents and adhering to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Carry out general grounds maintenance duties including weeding, planting, pruning, watering, and maintaining communal beds.
Cut and maintain lawns and grassed areas using a variety of equipment such as mowers, strimmers, and tractors.
Operate tools, machinery, and equipment in line with safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
Undertake small-scale landscaping tasks to enhance communal outdoor spaces.
Clear leaves, moss, and snow; apply salt/grit when required.
Apply fertilizers and pesticides where necessary.
Essentials:
Experience in gardening / grounds maintenance duties.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements.
Valid UK driving licence (Category C1) and ability to drive company vehicles.

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
