Join a reputable independent garage in Haywards Heath as a Service Technician. Our client is seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join their team on a full-time basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or experienced vehicle technician to advance their career within a friendly and professional setting.
Benefits:
- Competitive basic salary of £28,000 to £35,000 per annum, DOE
- Working hours from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekends
- Optional overtime on Thursday evenings paid at time and a half

- Opportunity to work on cars and light vans, including light servicing and repairs
Duties of a Service Technician:
- Carrying out routine servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including light vans
- Conducting diagnostics and fault-finding to identify any vehicle issues
- Assisting with light repair jobs, including brake, suspension, and lighting work
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and vehicle safety
- Ensuring timely completion of jobs whilst providing excellent customer service
- Assisting with occasional clutch and timing belt replacements
- Recording all work accurately and updating vehicle service history
Requirements of a Service Technician:
- Recently qualified or a few years of experience as a vehicle technician
- Basic knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a team environment
- Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics
- Relevant driving licence and own tools
- MOT certification is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided
- Strong organisation skills and a professional attitude
- Local candidates within approximately five miles of Haywards Heath are preferred
