Summary
Our client, a nationally recognised breakdown service provider, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Roadside Vehicle Technician to join their team in Portadown.
This is an excellent Roadside Vehicle Technician opportunity for an experienced vehicle technician looking to specialise in roadside assistance with a reputable industry leader. The successful Roadside Vehicle Technician will benefit from competitive pay, extensive career development, and the convenience of working close to home.
Benefits:
- Competitive basic salary of £36,400 with an OTE of £61,000
- Paid from the moment you leave your drive, starting and finishing your working day at your home address (door-to-door pay)
- Work a 40-hour week with no more than 1 in 2 weekends
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- 32 days' holiday including bank holidays
- Fully equipped, state-of-the-art breakdown vehicle provided

Duties of the Roadside Vehicle Technician:
- Attend roadside breakdowns promptly to assist customers
- Diagnose faults using professional diagnostic equipment
- Perform repairs, part replacements, and preventive maintenance on light vehicles
- Work efficiently to get vehicles back on the road swiftly and safely
- Ensure a high standard of vehicle safety and customer service
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out as a Roadside Vehicle Technician
- Operate a fully equipped breakdown vehicle, adhering to safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
- Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade
- Practical experience working with various light vehicles
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong eye for detail and a methodical approach to work
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple breakdown calls effectively
- Customer-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
