MOT Tester - Shrewsbury
Our client, a reputable and well-established automotive group, is seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join their professional vehicle service centre in Shrewsbury.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified MOT Tester to develop their career within a supportive environment, with a focus solely on MOT testing (Class 4 & 7) compliance and safety standards. The position of MOT Tester is pivotal to ensuring vehicle safety and adherence to legal standards.

- Competitive basic salary of up to £34,000, with OTE £39,000

- Working hours: Monday to Friday plus 1-in-2 Saturdays, with a day off in the week when working Saturday.

Duties:
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations for Class 4 and 7 vehicles
- Record results accurately and complete all necessary documentation promptly
- Identify any repair or maintenance needs and advise customers accordingly
- Ensure all work is completed to legal safety standards and within compliance guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Support other workshop functions as required
Requirements:
- Valid MOT Licence (Class 4 & 7) – Essential
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair – Preferred
- Previous experience working as an MOT Tester in an Independent Garage or Main Dealer environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Full UK driving licence
