Role Purpose
The Raising Standards Leader for SEND plays a pivotal strategic and operational leadership role at Telford Park School. As the school’s qualified SENCO and a member of the Extended Leadership Team, the postholder is responsible for ensuring that pupils with SEND, many of whom also experience significant disadvantage, receive high‑quality provision, uncompromising ambition and excellent outcomes.
This role goes beyond statutory compliance. The postholder will:
• Drive relentless improvement in outcomes
• Challenge low expectations at all levels
• Embed inclusive, adaptive teaching as standard practice
• Act as a key leader in the school’s wider improvement journey
