Summary
We are looking for a motivated and organised Transport / Traffic Planner to join our growing operations team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience in transport planning who is looking to develop their career in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and allocate daily work for drivers and vehicles
Monitor operations and adjust schedules in real time
Communicate with drivers and provide clear instructions
Manage VBS and port bookings
Update customer and port portals accurately
Create and update jobs within the system
Assist in sourcing and planning backloads
Ensure efficient vehicle utilisation and minimise empty running
Collect and process Proof of Delivery (POD) documents
Ensure all paperwork is complete and uploaded on time
Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in transport / traffic planning
Basic understanding of UK transport operations
Experience with port/container work or VBS systems (preferred)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good IT skills
