Summary
Empress Social Care, a leading provider of high-quality care services, is currently recruiting a Field Care Supervisor . Based in Hertfordshire, with travel in the local area, our mission is to be the most reliable, efficient and effective service provider and this role is crucial to that, delivering excellent high quality support focused on achieving positive outcomes.
The Field Care Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centred care to clients in their own homes and community settings. The post holder will supervise and support care staff in the field, maintain regulatory compliance, and act as a key link between management, care workers, clients, and external professionals.
Your daily duties can include:
Staff Supervision & Support
· Supervise, support, and mentor Support Workers in the community.
· Conduct regular spot checks, competency observations.
· Provide coaching, guidance, and constructive performance feedback.
· Sent briefs on care topics to staff to maintain a knowledgeable team.
· Ensure adherence to care plans, policies, and Empress Care procedures.
· Promote a positive, professional, and accountable team culture.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
· Monitor and maintain high standards of care delivery.
· Conduct regular client service reviews and quality monitoring visits.
· Complete weekly audits, compliance checks, and documentation reviews.
· Ensure services meet regulatory and legislative requirements, including Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
· Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Client Care Management
· Support the Service Manager in conducting initial client assessments.
· Develop, review, and update person-centred care plans.
· Complete and review risk assessments.
· Respond promptly and professionally to client concerns or complaints.
· Liaise effectively with families, social workers, GPs, and other healthcare professionals.
· Promote dignity, independence, and choice for all clients.
Safeguarding & Health & Safety
· Ensure safeguarding policies, safeguarding charter and procedures are strictly followed.
· Report incidents, accidents, and safeguarding concerns in line with company and statutory requirements.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date care documentation.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within clients’ homes and community settings
Scheduling & Coordination
· Assist with rota management and workforce coordination.
· Provide emergency cover for care calls when required.
· Support the management of staff shortages and urgent situations.
· Contribute to efficient service delivery and continuity of care.
The ideal candidate will be educated to Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Health and Social Care (essential), have supervisory experience, a full UK driving licence and a strong understanding of CQC standards and safeguarding legislation.
