ROLE DESCRIPTION

Newcastle College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dyslexia Support Tutor to join a passionate team that supports the achievements of students with additional learning needs and or disabilities including young people and adults.
As a Dyslexia support tutor, you will contribute significantly to students' educational journeys, helping them to unlock their full potential. You will provide direct support to a case load of learners with Dyslexia which will entail an initial assessment and regular reviews to ensure appropriate support is in place. You too will liaise with college staff to plan and implement suitable support in and outside of the classroom and assess and coordinate the application of exam access arrangements if required.
As the successful candidate, you will be an enthusiastic and adaptable person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to inclusive education. You will
have a specific Level 7 Dyslexia Professional Qualification or be currently working toward/willing to work toward in view to achieving AMBDA and or APC. You will also be required to work flexibly, including evening work, and supporting at our off-site provision.
