About the Role
We are looking for an EEM Application Developer to play a key role in the design, development and continuous improvement of Enviroenergy’s smart heat prepayment systems. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, developing and supporting cloud‑based and web/mobile applications that underpin the EE Monitor platform used by thousands of customers.
Working closely with developers, product managers, IT engineers and stakeholders, you’ll help deliver secure, reliable and scalable solutions using Microsoft Azure and modern development technologies including C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL and web technologies. The role blends hands‑on development with problem‑solving, system optimisation and support, contributing directly to customer experience, service innovation and the expansion of Enviroenergy’s commercial digital services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled application developer who enjoys working in a collaborative public‑sector environment and wants their work to make a real, positive impact on customers and the city’s low‑carbon energy ambitions.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong application development skills in C#, ASP.NET MVC and SQL, with good database knowledge.
- Web development experience using HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, JSON and XML.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud‑based systems.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from build to live support.
- Experience with APIs, integrations and troubleshooting live applications.
- Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage priorities.
- Qualification: HND, Foundation Degree or Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
