Summary
Female Care Support Worker – Help People Live Their Best Lives Every Day
We are currently recruiting for a Female Care Support Worker to join our all‑women’s service. This role is open to female applicants only due to the nature of the service, in line with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1).
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is compassionate, committed and values building strong, trusting relationships. You’ll provide dedicated, person‑centred support focused on consistency, empathy and understanding the individual’s needs. Support covers all aspects of daily life, including personal care, routines, activities, appointments and time out in the community, with a strong emphasis on understanding behaviour as communication and responding calmly and respectfully.
You’ll work closely with the individual to encourage independence, positive engagement and emotional wellbeing, while offering reassurance and structure where needed. The role also involves supporting access to the community using a mobility vehicle, maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment, completing accurate daily records, and contributing to care reviews. You’ll always work in line with agreed support approaches, health and safety requirements and quality standards.
We’re looking for someone with a calm, patient and compassionate approach, strong communication skills and emotional resilience. You’ll need to be reliable, consistent in your working style and respectful of individuality, dignity and personal choice. The ability to confidently drive a mobility vehicle is essential, and applicants must hold a full, clean manual UK driving licence, which is non‑negotiable.
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or with behaviours that may challenge is desirable but not essential. A Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care would be an advantage. This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
The service operates on a 24/7 basis, including overnight shifts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is essential to ensure the individual receives the support they need at all times.
If this role sounds right for you, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply with an anonymised CV and a short supporting statement explaining why you’re a good fit for the role. Interviews will take place on 26 May 2026.
