About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and committed team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident practitioner who can work independently and collaboratively to support teaching and learning across the school.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in raising pupil attainment, delivering planned learning activities, and providing high-quality support to both pupils and teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes under the direction of the teacher

- Provide short-term cover for teachers when required

- Support pupils' learning, development, and well-being

- Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils, including those with SEND

- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress

- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment

- Work closely with teachers, SENco, and other professionals

- Support the wider life of the school when required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

- HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience)

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

- Previous experience working in a school setting

- Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills

- The ability to manage a class confidently and positively

- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach

- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
