Summary

Senior Raw Material Testing Technician

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Senior Raw Material Testing Technician to join a client's Pencoed site. This role is key to supporting safe and efficient laboratory operations through the testing and release of raw materials used in immunodiagnostics and immunohematology products.

Key Duties
  • Carry out raw material testing in line with controlled procedures.
  • Analyse and document test data against defined acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and investigate any unexpected test results or deviations.
  • Complete ERP system transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Escalate non-conformance or unexpected results to the Quality Labs Leader.
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Ensure all activities comply with GMP, QSR, ISO, and other regulatory standards.
  • Support internal compliance audits when required.
  • Perform equipment calibration and maintain associated records.
  • Support and train new team members as required.
Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and a relevant Science or HTEC qualification.
  • Previous experience in a technical, operational, or laboratory-based role.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Understanding of laboratory processes and quality systems.
