Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a permanent, long‑term role in a specialist education setting that truly values its staff?
We are recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a well‑established specialist school supporting children and young people with additional needs, including autism and associated learning and communication needs. These are full‑time, permanent positions with both ASAP and September starts available.
About the Role
You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupils across a range of ages, helping them to engage with learning, develop independence and build confidence in a calm, structured environment.
Teaching Assistants will:
Support pupils in class, small groups and 1:1
Assist with personalised learning programmes aligned to individual needs
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Help pupils develop communication, social and life skills
Act as a consistent, caring and reliable presence throughout the school day
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who:
Have existing experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or SEN Support
Are confident or willing to support pupils across a range of ages
Have experience with, or a strong interest in, autism and additional needs
Can commit to a full‑time role and are seeking long‑term stability
Are reliable, patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education
Training & Support
Ongoing training and CPD provided
Support from experienced teachers, SEN professionals and leadership
Opportunities to develop specialist SEN skills within a permanent role
