Summary
To be responsible and accountable for the overall clinical and operational day-to-day deliveryof clinical standards of care and the management of the nursing workforce, in accordance withset objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints, that ensuresthe delivery of a high quality, patient centred service that meets patient needs.
Contributestothe development, delivery and evaluation of the Paediatric strategy withinthe contextoftheIntegrated Care System.Ensurearobustprofessionalapproachtoservice developmentandimprovement.Ensuresthatanysubsequentchangestostructures,services and roles are underpinned by appropriate support and on-going professionaldevelopment.
Supports the Assistant Director of Nursing to provideprofessional leadership and management for the development, implementation and monitoring ofthe Strategy for Nursing & Midwifery. The core nursing team is responsible for ensuringthat effectivesystemsofworkareinplacetoensurethesafedeliveryofevidencebasedpatient care. Support effective patient flows and management of bed resources in theTrust.
Develop and maintain communication with people on complex matters, issues, ideasand/or in complexsituations
Develop self and contribute to the development ofothers
Maintain and develop an environment and culture that improves health, safety andsecurity.
Appraiseinterpretandapplysuggestionsrecommendationsanddirectivestoimproveservices.
Contribute to improving quality and safety through incidents, PSIRF and complaint management.

Plan, deliver and evaluate interventionsandor treatments whenthereare complexissues and/or seriousillness
Test and review new concepts, models, methods practices products and equipment using QI methodology
Coordinate, monitor and review the use of finance
Plan, develop, monitor and review the recruitment, deployment and management ofpeople Facilitate the development of capacity anddemand modelling.
Responsibility for Patient Care (including monitoring, diagnostics +investigations)
