Summary

Job Summary

We are a care service in Gloucestershire and we provide a range of care and support services for people in their own homes (Domiciliary care).

We’re seeking to recruit enthusiastic, experienced and thoughtful new care workers; people with the right values and attitude to work into our domiciliary care service - could this be you?

Due to the nature of our clients, we can only consider applicants who are female.

Shift Pattern

Making a mixture of calls throughout the day spanning the morning into the evening. Flexibility is required as there can be breaks between calls. We are initially hiring staff that can work 16-24 hours per week, but more hours could be made available for the right candidate if this is required.

Successful applicants would sometimes need to be available at short notice, perform short stay calls and also be prepared to visit various locations as part of their work. As the type of work can entail an amount of travel drivers are required for this position.

An up-to-date DBS is also needed, we can arrange this with you if so required.

Duties

The duties are varied, and often no two days will be the same. Our clients are individuals, and they all deserve to be treated as such. Duties may include supporting clients with personal care needs, preparing and serving food, as well as helping them to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.
Again, the ability to drive is a definite bonus.

Skills

Experience in patient care within settings such as senior care, nursing homes, or childcare environments is very useful.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals requiring assistance.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with meal preparation.
