Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring a smooth, even finish for both new construction and renovation projects. As a plasterer, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing plaster, and applying it to surfaces with precision and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, and priming walls, ceilings, and other areas to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster.
- Mix plaster to the required consistency and apply it evenly to surfaces using appropriate tools.
- Apply base and finishing coats of plaster to achieve smooth, level surfaces.
- Patch and repair damaged or cracked plaster and surfaces, ensuring a seamless finish.
- Work with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards.
- Ensure all work meets safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Communicate with clients and contractors to understand project needs and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a plasterer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of plastering techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in various environments (indoor, outdoor, confined spaces).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in construction.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with decorative plastering techniques (e.g., moldings, stucco).
- Certification or formal training in plastering or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project needs.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with possible overtime based on project needs.
- Work in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- May require lifting, climbing, and working in elevated positions.
