Responsibilities
Support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential care home to ensure excellent care delivery.
Assist in implementing and monitoring individual care plans tailored to residents’ needs.
Supervise and support care staff, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the care home.
Engage with residents and their families to maintain open communication and address any concerns.
Contribute to staff training and development to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.
Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to uphold care standards and resident satisfaction.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents, maintaining calm and effective management.
Requirements
Proven experience working in a residential care environment, preferably in a supervisory or support role.
Strong understanding of social care principles and commitment to person-centered care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Good organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to residential care settings.
Willingness to develop professionally and undertake relevant training and development opportunities.
