Summary

Due to long-term sickness Desian are proud to announce that we are supporting a single-form entry primary school in Runcorn that is easily accessible via public transport. This extremely supportive and collaborative school require a motivated HLTA (higher level teaching assistant) to join the KS2 cohort on a temporary basis with an immediate start available.
You will be joining a mixed year 4 and year 5 class, for three days you will act as the class teaching assistant and support with PPA across the school across the other 2.

Your new role:
You will be joining an extremely inclusive school on a temporary full-time basis, potentially until the end of the academic year. You will be based within a mixed KS2 class consisting of year 4 and year 5. For the majority of the week, you will act as the class teaching assistant, promoting the engagement and focus of all pupils and offering additional support as required. For the other two days you will deliver PPA across the KS1 and KS2 class. Other core duties will include:
- Whole class delivery in the absence of class teachers
- 1:1 and small group interventions in key attainment areas
- Assisting with general classroom and behaviour management

What you need to succeed:
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Expert knowledge of the KS1 & KS2 national curriculums
- Referenceable experience delivery PPA
- Be at least NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualified
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain
