Summary

The role calls for an experienced clinician currently registered with an appropriate UK regulator (e.g., NMC/GMC/HCPC). Essential criteria include: Extensive and senior clinical insight relating to frontline processes in ambulance services Clinical insight into linked services e.g. 999 and NHS 111 call centres Experience of analysing, synthesising and presenting information in general and specifically in relation to patient safety in ambulance services Essential skills include: Experience of leading safety improvements at local or regional level Excellent communication skills for engaging a range of stakeholders both internal and external (including outside the NHS) to the organisation, some at very senior level. There will be occasional travel across England with the need for overnight stays (where relevant). Hybrid working is supported for this role. The role will have a start date of May/June 2026 for an initial period of 10 months (or until 31 March 2027).
