Summary
Do you want to make a difference in your career in Nursing? Would you like to work in a friendly patient focused environment? Are you passionate, ambitious, dedicated and compassionate? If so, we have exciting opportunities for experienced Band 5 nurses.
The Butterfly hospice is a purpose-built supportive environment consisting of a 6 bedded inpatient unit delivering personalised holistic palliative care for patients and their families in relaxed, calm and beautiful surroundings for the people of Lincolnshire. We are proud to work in close partnership with the Butterfly Hospice Charitable Trust and have links with Macmillan, specialist services and community nursing teams.
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and experienced Nurses who would like flexibility but are looking for a rewarding role where they are able to provide high quality patient & family focused care within a supportive environment. The successful candidates will have a breadth of nursing experience, the ability to assess and interpret clinical conditions and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Whilst palliative care experience is valuable, it is not essential as full training and support will be given.
Only applicants with at least one-year NMC registration will be considered.
The journey towards the end of life can be a complex one. Medical advances and changes in family lives mean that the care we provide to our patients and their families constantly changes to meet the needs and expectations of our Community. At the Butterfly hospice we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standard of compassionate care and support to our patients and their families and constantly strive to ensure we support as many people as possible, whenever and wherever they may need us which may be for respite care, complex symptom management and end of life care.
‘Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagementin the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.
At LCHS, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in LCHS’ workforce.
LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.
We are an ambassador of a learning culture that will support the right individual to progress in their chosen career through an ‘earn while you learn’ apprenticeship programme.
