Summary

Wiring Technician Temp to perm - Immediate start

Colnbrook - SL3

£16.50-£18.50ph (depending on experience)

We are looking to recruit Wiring Technicians to work in the wiring workshop of our manufacturing base in Colnbrook.

We are a leading provider of power distribution solutions for the entertainment industry, supporting major film sets, live tours, sporting events, and large-scale productions around the world. Our work helps power some of the biggest events globally, and successful candidates will play an important role in supporting these operations.

The successful candidates will be responsible for wiring bespoke manufactured power distribution boards, following instructions from Wiring Operatives, Senior Wiring Operatives, and the Workshop Manager.

This is a fast-paced workshop environment, so candidates must be quick learners, accurate in their work, and have excellent attention to detail. Full in-house, on-the-job training will be provided to ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

This role is hands-on and demanding, and we are looking for individuals who are eager to develop new skills, take pride in their work, and feel confident asking questions when needed.

Wiring Technician Responsibilities and Duties

• Learn company wiring techniques and workshop procedures
• Cutting and stripping cables
• Crimping and preparing sockets
• Using power tools throughout the day to a high standard
• Supporting the production of high-quality power distribution boards
• Helping ensure all products meet required quality standards
• Following all Health and Safety guidelines at all times



Wiring Technician Essential Skills and Experience

• Working knowledge of electrics and electrical principles
• Good understanding of written and spoken English
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent timekeeping and punctuality
• Experience working within a team and in a busy working environment
• Ability to work independently using initiative without constant supervision
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly

Wiring Technician Desirable Skills and Experience

• GCSEs (A–C), including English
• Understanding of AutoCAD drawings
• Previous experience working as a fitter, wireman, or electrician’s mate
• Willingness to work additional hours for overtime opportunities

Wiring Technician Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hourly paid position with negotiable pay depending on experience.

Standard working hours are:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: 7:45am – 4:00pm

Overtime is available for those willing to work additional hours.
