Summary
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room-Based Nursery Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of the nursery. The successful candidate will work within a specific room while assisting the Nursery Manager in delivering high-quality care, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Nursery Manager in the overall management of the setting
Lead and manage a designated room, ensuring high standards of care and education
Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are met
Support, mentor, and supervise nursery staff and students
Contribute to staff appraisals, training, and development plans
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Ensure children’s learning and development records are accurately maintained
Promote inclusive practice and equal opportunities
Assist with planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Requirements:
Level 3 (or above) qualification in Childcare/Early Years
Previous experience in a senior role
Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
DBS- update service
