Vehicle Technician
Our client, a reputable family-run independent service centre based in Wallingford, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop. With a history of delivering quality service since 1983, this well-established business offers stability, excellent working conditions, and opportunities for career development. The successful Vehicle Technician will become a valued member of a friendly and motivated team committed to providing exceptional customer service and vehicle care.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
- Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
- Accurately diagnose faults and report vehicle conditions, safety, reliability, and performance issues to the Workshop Manager
- Ensure work is completed following health and safety standards and quality procedures
- Assist at the front desk during busy periods, including booking in/out work and handling customer inquiries
- Maintain high standards of workmanship in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the workshop
Requirements:
- NECESSARY: Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Desirable: IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (not essential if extensive practical experience is demonstrated)
- Extensive practical experience as a Vehicle Technician, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Strong work ethic and motivation to achieve targets set by management
- Ability to deliver high-quality work consistently in a busy workshop environment
- An MOT testing license (Class 4 or 7) would be advantageous but is not essential
