Summary
Job Title: Support Worker – Brain Injury (Holiday Cover)
Location: Birmingham
Pay rate: £16.63 per hour (Incl.Hols)
Job Type: Temporary (Holiday Cover – July, approx. 1 week)
Shift and schedule:
Shift pattern:
24-hour support required during holiday period
Day shifts + sleep-in nights
Dates to be confirmed (July)
Priority Recruitment are excited to present this rewarding Support Worker opportunity in Birmingham, supporting a male client with an acquired brain injury within his own home.
This is a short-term holiday cover role, however the right fit is essential to ensure continuity of care and a positive experience for both the client and their family.
We are looking for a proactive, patient, and engaging Support Worker who can build rapport quickly, follow structured care and therapy plans, and provide consistent, high-quality support.
Salary & Benefits:
- £16.63 per hour (Incl.Hols)
- Sleep-in shifts included (rate to be confirmed if applicable)
- Weekly pay every Friday
- DBS fees reimbursed

Company and Role:
- Supporting a male client with an acquired brain injury
- 1:1 support within the client’s home and community
- Focus on maintaining routine, safety, and engagement
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Providing companionship and structured support
- Supporting with daily routines and activities
- Encouraging independence and engagement
- Following care plans and therapy guidance closely
- Supporting community-based activities (e.g. gym, volunteering, outings)
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the client
- Ensuring consistency and stability during the family’s absence
Successful Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with brain injury (preferred)
- Background in complex care or community support
- Proactive, patient, and engaging personality
- Ability to build rapport quickly and adapt to client needs
- Confident following structured care and therapy plans
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle (preferred)
