Shift and schedule:
Shift pattern:
160 hours per month (average 40 hours per week)
Rota basis: 2 days on + sleep-in, followed by 4 days off

This is a rewarding role supporting children and young people to live safely, develop independence, and reach their full potential within a nurturing and therapeutic residential environment.
We are looking for compassionate, reliable individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in young people’s lives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and being a consistent, supportive presence.
Salary & Benefits:
- £28,808 Annual Salary
- Sleep-in shifts included within rota (sleep-in rate to be confirmed if applicable)

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality care and emotional support
- Supporting children with daily routines, activities, and personal development
- Acting as a positive role model and building trusting relationships
- Observing, monitoring, and recording behaviours and progress
- Supporting education, social development, and life skills
- Working alongside professionals such as social workers, schools, and therapists
- Contributing to care planning and attending reviews/meetings
- Supporting behaviour using appropriate strategies
- Maintaining a safe and structured environment
Household responsibilities include:
- Supporting with cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the home
- Promoting a healthy lifestyle, including balanced meals
- Ensuring the home is safe, clean, and welcoming
Successful Candidate:
- Previous experience working with children and young people (residential preferred)
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships
- Calm, resilient, and patient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends
- Willingness to complete training and continuous professional development
