Summary
Support Worker – Mixed Contracts available (Drivers Only)

Mencap is on the lookout for passionate Support Workers to join our friendly and dedicated team in Rushmere St Andrew.
As a Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real and positive difference every single day. You’ll support adults with learning disabilities, working with a wonderfully diverse group of people — each with their own personalities, strengths, and support needs.
From helping with daily living activities to offering emotional support and encouragement, your role will be varied, rewarding, and truly meaningful.
Please note: This role is drivers only due to the nature of the service.

- A genuine passion for supporting others to live their best lives
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, meaningful relationships
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- A positive, empathetic, and person-centred approach when supporting individuals with learning disabilities
⏰ Contract options
We offer flexibility to suit your lifestyle:
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
- Part-time: Flexible hours based on your availability
- Relief: Flexible working with no set hours or shifts
Shift patterns
All our services provide 24-hour care.
Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance, so you can still plan your personal and social life with confidence!
- Day shifts: Between 07:00 – 22:00
- Sleep-ins: 22:00 – 07:00
- Sleep-in payment: Enhanced flat-rate payment of £64.20 per sleep-in
