We are looking for a highly motivated Sea Logistics Intermodal OKAM to join us in Birmingham-Aston . The Operational Key Account Manager (OKAM) will be responsible for the UK landside operational performance, account management and customer development for Marks & Spencer (M&S).The role requires the need to work very closely with all members of the Intermodal team and other internal stakeholders from road and rail operational planning and execution through to invoicing, financial management and systems integration.
How you create impact
- Customer satisfaction and relationship management.
- Operational execution excellence.
- Financial accuracy and P&L contribution.
- Supplier performance management.
- Manage communication channels and documentation, examples being Sharepoint, SOP’s rate cards.
- Facilitate new business by acting as a subject matter expert on our service offerings and operational capabilities
- Manage weekly financial routine within agreed timescales and processes, obtaining approval to invoice charges and authorizing payment to suppliers.
- Resolve any financial queries / disputes.
What we would like you to bring
- Intermodal operational experience, covering the planning and execution of movements by road and rail.
- Proven track record of managing haulage supplier’s road and rail.
- Experienced in managing customers, being the key point for escalation.
- Preferable Management experience in the Transport and/or Logistics sector.
- Good knowledge of UK transport network, port and Intermodal operations.
