Summary
Managment Accountant
Location: Nantwich
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays (including 3 days Christmas shutdown), pension scheme, private medical insurance
We are working in partnership with a well‑established Nantwich‑based business to recruit a Standalone Management Accountant. This is a hands‑on, autonomous role offering full ownership of the finance function and regular reporting to Head Office overseas.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced industry accountant who enjoys working independently, producing accurate management information, and providing clear financial insight to support the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and deliver the full month‑end close process, reporting to Head Office in Spain
• Maintain and control the fixed asset register, including depreciation and disposals
• Manage prepayments and accruals
• Prepare detailed sales analysis and perform sales reconciliations
• Carry out intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce profit and loss statements with variance analysis and commentary
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with statutory deadlines
• Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations
• Monitor and report on month‑end sales backlog
• Monitor, reconcile, and control inventory balances
• Coordinate payroll processing with an external provider
• Liaise with pension providers to ensure accurate and timely submissions
• Act as the main finance contact for the annual external audit
• Perform ad hoc finance and reporting tasks as required
• AAT Level 4 qualified
• Proven industry accountancy experience
• Experience working in a standalone finance role
• SAP experience essential
• Strong knowledge of VAT, management accounting, and reconciliation processes
• Confident working autonomously with excellent attention to detail
• Salary of £40,000/ACCA
