Summary
Outreach Support Worker – Reach and Connect Service (One Hour Contract)Join Briarwood School’s innovative Reach and Connect service, offering outreach support for children with SEND in mainstream and other specialist schools.About the Role:
Working under the guidance of the Reach and Connect SLT lead, you will collaborate with children and school staff to deliver tailored interventions that promote inclusion, engagement, and progress for SEND pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct observations and assessments of pupils in mainstream and specialist settings.
• Translate assessment findings into effective, individualised interventions.
• Develop and implement support strategies and high-quality resources.
• Provide guidance and training to mainstream staff to build their confidence and skills in supporting SEND learners.

This role is ideal for experienced staff seeking varied, rewarding work that contributes to inclusive education and supports the success of SEND pupils in mainstream schools and other specialist settings.There are full time and part time roles available. The roles are permanent posts, 32.5 hours per week, 6.5 hours per day, plus a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, 8.45am to 3.45pm. Term time only, working 39 weeks (including 5 inset days), 13 weeks school holidays of which 6.6 weeks paid as annual leave. No entitlement to annual leave during term. Salary dependent on Local Government continuous service. NB: We are unable to sponsor visas for this role as it does not met the required criteria for sponsorship.Closing Date: 31st May 2026 at 11.59pm (Early applications are welcome as we reserve the right to interview before closing the role).
