Summary

SEN Support Teaching Assistant – Maternity Cover (Temporary contract – up to one year)Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover) 31 hours and 15 minutes per week
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to work 31 hours and 15 minutes per week, providing maternity cover. The role will involve supporting a child with additional needs, so experience of - or a genuine interest in - autism, ADHD, emotional regulation, and sensory needs would be highly beneficial. The post will be primarily based in Key Stage 2, although our Teaching Assistants work flexibly across the whole school to support pupils wherever needed.

Start date: 1st June 2026 Salary: TA2, SCP5-6, £25,583 - £25,989 FTE (pay award pending). Actual Salary: £18,560 – £18,855. The scale point will depend on experience.Hours: 31 hours 15 minutes a week, TTO plus 8 staff development days Working pattern: Typically, 5 days 8:45 – 3:30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break, however this could be negotiable and we would consider a job share
