Summary

Behaviour Mentor 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time onlyWe are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and well-motivated person for the position of Behaviour Mentor. The successful candidate will work with a range of students across the school giving priority to children who require support in overcoming their barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. The Successful Candidate Will: • Support Montrose in enabling all students to access the curriculum. • Complete regular check-ins with identified students. • Work with individual and groups of children, both in and out of the classroom, to develop self-esteem, confidence and social skills so they can talk about their feelings, concerns and needs. • Enhance positive relationships with families. • Manage and calm challenging situations in a professional manner to maintain a safe and positive environment. • Guide students to reflect on their actions and understand their impact and adopt better behaviour habits. • Co-ordinate and participate in the delivery of activities and programmes that support students social, emotional and behavioural development.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, 8.30am till 3.30pm Monday to Friday No holiday can be taken during school term time. To Start: Thursday 20th August 2026 Salary: Grade 6 point 15 - 18 £32,061 - £34,434 (pro rata £24,304 - £26,103)
