ROLE AND PURPOSE
To provide cleaning services to a pre-determined area in accordance with specifications and safe systems or work. To maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Undertake cleaning duties in accordance with safe systems of work within a work area.
2. Comply with all Council Security Policies relating to the buildings within the work area.
3. Adhere to Hull Building Cleanings’ procedures, work schedules and safe system of work. Report any problems to the Senior Cleaning Assistant or Area Supervisor.
4. To participates in appropriate training and staff development.
5. Completes relevant paperwork e.g. timesheets, annual leave forms.
6. The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated legislation places responsibilities for health and safety on Hull City Council, as your employer and you as an employee of the council. In addition to the Councils overall duties, the post holder has personal responsibility for their own health and safety and that of other employees; additional and more specific responsibilities are identified in the Council’s Corporate Health and Safety policy.
