Summary
Please see the full job description and person specification document(s) for main responsibilities of the role. To provide a specialist psychological service to Trust staff members. To provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to Trust staff members. To implement a range of psychological interventions for individual staff members, teams and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses. To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to staff members formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan. To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual staff and to provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management. To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional and self-governance in accordance with relevant professional codes of practice and Trust policies and procedures. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures. To receive regular clinical professional supervision from a senior psychological practitioner and where appropriate, other senior professional colleagues. To provide advice, consultation and clinical supervision to other members of the team in the provision of psychologically based interventions to help improve client functioning. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area serviced by the team/service.
