Summary
Provide communications advice to colleagues as appropriate within the Trust, helping them to understand the purpose of our channels and how best to reach their target audience, thinking creatively as required. In the event of a major incident, provide internal communications support as required to the Trust. This may involve attending Headquarters, local ambulance stations or scenes of incidents at short notice and preparing/maintaining specific internal communications plans and templates. Develop internal news releases, publications, using digital software, presentations using desk top software, intranet content management software packages, managing a photo library and departmental databases. Maintaining one or more information systems relating to the internal communications function such as the systems for deploying plasma screen content, content management systems for the Trust intranet and livestream broadcasting. Update the team editorial grid with planned content. Support the production and distribution of surveys and focus groups necessary to evaluation the work of the team, reviewing and contributing to ideas for improvement. Works within the internal communications department, manages own workload, and is required to act independently in relation to delegated work areas and specific projects.
