This role is office-based; however, it also offers some agile or remote working

Do you want a role where your work genuinely helps adults live independent, fulfilling lives? As a Social Work Assistant on the Isle of Wight, you’ll support adults with a range of complex needs to remain safe, connected and empowered within their communities. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a service that puts people at the heart of everything it does and makes a real difference every single day.

In this varied and meaningful role within our Integrated Localities Team, you’ll manage a diverse caseload and carry out assessments, independence plans and reviews that are person-centred, strengths-based and outcome focused. You’ll support crisis interventions when people need help most, contribute to safeguarding work, and work closely with health partners, local communities and third-sector organisations to ensure individuals receive the right support at the right time. Your work will be guided by key legislation and informed by thoughtful risk management and clear decision-making.

We’re looking for motivated, compassionate people who are keen to learn, develop and be part of a supportive team. In return, you’ll receive regular supervision, opportunities for professional development and the chance to build a fulfilling career in adult social care — all while working in the unique and welcoming environment of the Isle of Wight. If you’re excited by work that is challenging, purposeful and truly impactful, we’d love you to join our team.
