Care & Support Worker
Care & Support Worker – Homelessness/Palliative Care
Location: Liverpool L17
Pay Rate: £13 per hour
Shifts: Days & nights available
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for ongoing work)
P4 Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a local charity for a compassionate and committed Care & Support Practitioner to work within a specialist residential service.
The home is specifically aimed at supporting people who have experienced, or are currently experiencing, homelessness and who have additional health and social care needs. You will provide care and support to residents with complex needs including mental health needs and DoLS, acquired brain injury (ABI), dementia, current and past drug and alcohol misuse, advancing ill health and palliative care, alongside many other challenges.
Residents receive person-centred care plans and structured support including scheduled personal care (washing, dressing, laundry), medication administration, daily meals and access to meaningful activities. This role would suit someone who is naturally empathetic and motivated to help people improve their quality of life in a safe, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Build positive, supportive relationships with residents
Deliver person-centred care and support in line with care plans
Provide personal care and delegated health tasks (training provided)
Support residents with independence, daily living and meaningful activities
Complete accurate records, risk assessments and support plans
Work with partner agencies and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns
Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience or qualification in Care or Support Services
Understanding of complex needs, mental health and safeguarding
Experience delivering personal care with dignity and respect
Strong communication, IT and record-keeping skills
Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
Desirable:
Relevant health or social care qualification
Experience in supported living or a CQC-registered setting
Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act or psychologically informed practice
