Job Title: Personal Assistant/Support Worker

About me:
I am a 30-year-old man with autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, dyslexia, fine motor dyspraxia, hypermobility, malabsorption and ADHD resulting in poor memory and sensory processing difficulties.
I enjoy going out for walks in the local community and having a cup of tea whilst discussing common interests, such as football.

Has previous experience of working with people living with autism and ADHD.
Can offer companionship in a respectful manner.
Will promote and support confidence and independence.
Has a person-centered approach and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve their goals.
Can follow instructions and will establish a professional standard of care, to be always maintained.
Will not use their personal mobile phone at work unless in an emergency.
Is trustworthy, kind, punctual and reliable.
Is patient and supportive with good listening skills and an ability to provide non-judgmental emotional support.
Maintains confidentiality and respects the privacy of the family, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
Can work flexibly, adapting to the variable requirements of this role as required.
Task and duties, to include any or all the following:
To take me out for a walk around the local community.
To occasionally provide a sit in service.
I will need prompting to do any tasks.
To improve social skills and promote independent living skills.
Positive self-esteem and self-confidence should be promoted whilst undertaking any activities.
Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.
Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.
The role is dependent upon a DBS and 2 references.
