Summary

Hours: Permanent Days (6am–6pm) or Permanent Nights (6pm–6am), Saturday and Sunday

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (for the right candidates)

Fresh Start Recruitment is currently recruiting Plastic Packaging Operatives to work within the packaging industry in the Injection Moulding Department. You’ll be responsible for supplying plastic materials and colourants to machines and ensuring smooth, continuous production.

Responsibilities:

• To supply specified plastic material and colorant to each machine and change the material for each batch run checking material handling equipment and cleaning filters as required.

• To carry out clean down procedures on equipment after tool or colour change.

• To carry out dosing procedures and set valves to proportion the input to achieve correct standard.

• To maintain and clean grinding machines ensuring safety checks are applied.

• To carry out the duties of raw materials handling when requested.

• To keep and maintain records.

• To assist Team Leaders in planning production requirements to appropriate machines ensuring materials are available.

• To change regranulated material bags as necessary returning full bags to their allocated area.

• To undertake relief operations as necessary.

• To notify Team Leaders on the availability of grinding machines.

• To work along with Team Leaders and Team Members to maintain effectiveness of team and area performance.

• To work along with Team Leaders and Team Members to identify team and work area problems and assist in implementation of improvement plans.
