Summary

About the Role:

We have an opportunity for an organised and proactive IT Administration Officer to provide high‑quality administrative support to the Council’s ICT Shared Service, which covers Maidstone, Swale and Tunbridge Wells Borough Councils.

The IT Administration Officer will support the IT team across a range of administrative activities, enabling technical teams to focus on service delivery by providing robust administrative and communication support.

This includes updating and maintaining documentation, invoicing and supplier processing, responding to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, supporting with IT project documentation, organising meetings for senior officers, and producing communications to stakeholders across the Shared Service.

This position is full time, working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis. It is hybrid working, usually with one day a week in the Maidstone office, or this may be flexible to be one of the other offices of the Shared Service.



About You:

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, organised and have excellent communication skills. You will have experience of working in administration with good IT skills, including working knowledge of Adobe and Excel in particular, as invoice processing forms a large part of the role.
