Looking for steady work, one site, and long‑term job security?
We’re recruiting a permanent Electrician to join the on‑site facilities team at HMP Frankland.

This is a hands‑on role with a stable rota, proper standards, and no travelling between sites.

The role
Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
Fault‑finding and repairs across prison buildings
Minor works and like‑for‑like replacements
Electrical inspections and testing in line with BS7671
Ensuring systems are safe, compliant and reliable
Working to agreed Health & Safety procedures
Escorting duties when required
Hours & pay
39 hours per week
Monday–Friday: 07:30 – 16:30
1 in 3 weekends (08:00 – 16:00)
15% allowance paid for weekend working
Essential
City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition (17th considered with upskilling)
Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations
Experience of electrical maintenance / PPMs
Good Health & Safety awareness
Able to work independently and use initiative
Basic IT skills
Desirable
Experience with fire alarms or CCTV systems
