Summary

Support Nursery Manager – Nursery Group


Up to £50,000 + Driving Allowance | Full-Time | Permanent | Essex & Cambridge Area



This is not your typical nursery management position. You will step in to cover maternity leave and sickness absence, as well as supporting nurseries to drive improvements and maintain the exceptional standards this group is known for.

What Our Client Is Looking For



  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above - essential

  • Proven experience as a Nursery Manager, ideally within a large or busy setting - essential

  • Experience managing multiple settings or working across a nursery group - highly desirable

  • A confident, hands-on leader who is comfortable adapting quickly to new environments

  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements and safeguarding legislation

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - essential due to the travel requirements of the role

Key Responsibilities



  • Provide management cover across nurseries within the group, including maternity and sickness absence cover

  • Step into settings at short notice and lead teams effectively from day one

  • Identify areas for improvement within underperforming nurseries and implement practical, results-driven solutions

  • Maintain the highest standards of care, education and compliance across every setting you support

  • Ensure full adherence to EYFS requirements, Ofsted standards and safeguarding legislation at all times

  • Build strong, positive relationships with staff, parents and families across multiple settings

  • Support, mentor and motivate nursery teams, helping to build confidence and consistency
