Chainsaw Operative

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is actively seeking NPTC or Lantra qualified Chainsaw Operatives for a short-term de-vegetation project in Newport. This role involves physically demanding outdoor work requiring strict adherence to safety procedures and efficient teamwork.

Key Duties
  • Operate chainsaws safely and effectively in line with site standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out de-vegetation works to required specifications.
  • Maintain high levels of safety awareness at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with site supervisors and team members.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and report any faults promptly.
  • Follow all site-specific rules, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid chainsaw qualification (NPTC or Lantra).
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
