IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is actively seeking NPTC or Lantra qualified Chainsaw Operatives for a short-term de-vegetation project in Newport. This role involves physically demanding outdoor work requiring strict adherence to safety procedures and efficient teamwork.
Key Duties- Operate chainsaws safely and effectively in line with site standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Carry out de-vegetation works to required specifications.
- Maintain high levels of safety awareness at all times.
- Communicate clearly with site supervisors and team members.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report any faults promptly.
- Follow all site-specific rules, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Valid chainsaw qualification (NPTC or Lantra).
- Valid CSCS card.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
- Short-term assignment (4-5 weeks).
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
- 10-hour working days.
- Opportunity to work on a structured site-based project.
