OB TITLE: RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY PARALEGAL - HYBRID
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: Monday to Friday

Due to organic growth and continued success, our client is seeking a Residential Property Paralegal to join their team in Manchester City Centre. The successful candidate will provide essential support to Fee Earners, assisting with residential property sales and purchases while maintaining a high standard of client care.
This is a hands-on role within a busy residential property team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. As the role is client-facing, excellent communication skills are essential.
Candidates currently studying for the LLM or LPC will be considered, as well as recent graduates with strong academic backgrounds.

Primary Purpose of the role:
Reporting directly to a fee earner or fee earners, provide support to them and the team as directed
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Drafting standard conveyancing documents (e.g. contracts, transfer deeds).
Conducting Land Registry and property searches.
Pro-active management and actioning of fee earner inbox
Assisting with SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
Liaising with clients, estate agents, and solicitors.
Assisting in the preparation of completion statements and statements of account
Dealing with exchange/completion formalities, including exchange of contracts.
Managing post-completion tasks including registration and file closure.
Time recording and assisting with billing processes
Assisting with administrative tasks as required
Develop into becoming the primary initial contact on a matter under the supervision of a solicitor
Pro-actively assist the team members with effective file management
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients and referrers
Understand the firm’s business and what makes it successful
Take pride in the work undertaken and ensure that it is accurate before passing back
Demonstrate good housekeeping in electronic and paper files
Communicate with internal and external clients
Feedback clear messages
Ensure engagement with the team
Build a rapport with clients
Ensure marketing time is recorded
Ensure all cross-referrals are recorded
Ensure referral source is recorded correctly on new files

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Minimum experience of 6 months in Commercial Property or Residential Conveyancing, providing you have strong academics
Some experience in conveyancing or property law preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to problem solve.
Exceptional organisational skills to manage workload and understand how to prioritise.
