Do you have a passion for working outdoors and helping to maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments? Do you enjoy being hands-on and working as part of a supportive team?

As a Ground Helper, you will play an important role in maintaining the company’s outdoor areas to a high standard, ensuring the grounds are clean, safe, and presentable for customers, colleagues, and visitors.

You will support day-to-day grounds maintenance activities and help deliver a consistent, high-quality service.

The Role

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all grounds, paths, pavements, and entrances

Clear litter, weeds, brush, and debris daily

Water flowers, plants, lawns, and turf areas as required

Support general gardening tasks such as weeding, trimming, mulching, planting, and edging

Assist with mowing, fertilising, seeding, and maintaining healthy grass areas

Remove dirt from pavements and driveways

Support special landscaping or planting projects when required

Take care of groundskeeping tools, equipment, and supplies

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety and manual handling procedures

Report hazards, near misses, or maintenance issues to your supervisor or manager

Help ensure the grounds are safe and usable for guests and visitors at all times

About You

Reliable and hardworking with a positive, professional attitude

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

A strong team player who works well with colleagues, supervisors, and site users

Good communication skills with the ability to interact politely and professionally

Ability to follow instructions and work safely under pressure

Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards

Basic knowledge of Health, Safety, and manual handling (desirable)
