Summary
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment have been given the exciting opportunity to recruit for a logistics operative with an FLT licence for a well-known manufacturer in the NG8 area of Nottingham.
Job Purpose
To assist production by ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to fulfil operational and customer demands in accordance with plans and company procedures.
Pay & Benefits
• Starting salary of £13.58 per hour
• Permanent Position
• 37.5 hour week (Mon - Thurs 7am - 3.30pm 8 hours per day, Fri 5.5 hours 7am - 12.30pm).
• 5% pension - auto enrolled after 12 weeks of service
• Death in service benefit (after 3 months service)

Roles & Responsibilities
• Record goods information accurately and in line with company procedures, the Quality Management System and specific work instructions, ensuring discrepancies are reported to Line Manager in a timely manner.
• Prepare, complete and deliver orders according to customer schedules, either by carriers or using company vehicles.
• Consistently maintain effective stock control within the company reporting system.
• Raise Purchase Orders for secondary operations (sub-contractors)
• Carry out general customer support duties for internal and external requirements.
• Maintain work equipment, procedures and accurate records.
• Keep company vehicles clean and tidy and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure all workstations and areas are kept in a clean and safe condition

• Previous experience from precision engineering/manufacturing environment.
